Format and mod requirements are different
A Create NBT schematic may contain only vanilla blocks. Check the creator’s notes and parsed block namespaces to see whether the build needs Create and any add-on mods.
Create · .nbt
Create uses NBT schematics to save structures and contraption layouts. This page lists builds in the Create file format; that format can also contain entirely vanilla buildings.

Supported Create NBT files can be converted to .litematic. The overlay does not simulate machines, and builds containing Create blocks still need the relevant mods.
